An extract from South Wilts Church Magazine December 1919:-
"ON the Thursday in the octave there was a Social evening in the Schoolroom, when the Vicar gave a lecture on his experiences in Egypt and the Holy Land, illustrating it by means of curios and pictures he had brought back with him. We must thank all those who helped so kindly to provide "light refreshments" or in any other way. The Vicar hopes shortly to be able to get lantern slides, so that he may give a more vivid description of the Holy Land."

"BROADCHALKE
